Fifty Green Program
The Fifty Green program encourages our Staples Professional customers to combine orders to reduce deliveries, packaging, and emissions.
Fifty Green Charge: Orders under $50 may have a $9.99 charge applied. A portion of this charge supports tree planting initiatives through Tree Canada.
Fifty Green Accelerator: Instead of applying a charge, your order may be held so you can add items and reach the $50 minimum. Suggested items may appear to help build your order.
Note that these fees are not delivery-related.

Bullfrog Power
For over a decade, our partnership with Bullfrog Power has helped reduce our environmental impact by matching our electricity use with 100% clean, pollution-free energy on the grid. Today, our production hubs, Staples Professional office, select stores, and co-working studios are powered with clean energy. We’ve also supported over 100 community-based green energy projects across Canada, advancing renewable solutions nationwide. As a result, Staples Canada is the #1 Bullfrog Power retailer in Canada.
Staples Print
All Staples print items produced in our production hubs and Solution Shops across Canada are bullfrogpowered with 100% renewable energy.
Environmental Token
Staples Canada is the first to adopt Environmental Tokens at our Burlington store, in partnership with Bullfrog Power. This provides an easy and verified way to get detailed information about our store’s clean energy footprint.
Fleet Electrification
Our electric vehicle (EV) fleet helps reduce emissions in our operations while improving delivery efficiency. These EV trucks use real time analytics to measure and monitor emissions reductions, track performance, and identify the most efficient routes to help lower our environmental impact. We began this transition in 2023 and continue to invest in expanding our electric fleet to support cleaner deliveries across more countries.
Our Impact Partnerships
Tree Canada x Staples Professional
Since 2008, Staples Professional has partnered with Tree Canada to help numerous community greening projects, helping areas hit by natural disasters, and overall build a better place for Canadians to live across the country. Our commitment to planting trees is also dedicated to compensating for the carbon emissions we cannot yet eliminate.

We were selected as one of the 2025 and 2026 winners of the Canada's Greenest Employers program led by the Canada's Top 100 Employers awards forum. This award acknowledges Staples as a national leader in sustainability, driving meaningful change across the organization with a clear commitment to environmental responsibility.
